Experimenting with Your Light

I grew up in a community of fortune tellers. In back rooms and behind perfumed curtains, fortune tellers exist to stoke the imagination... an entertainer, at best, and a charlatan at worst. Generally, there is little validation given to the artists of the fortune. Speculation is its only testing ground. Even true believers are perfectly satisfied to hold a little bit of mystery rather than have their worldview fundamentally altered or their "real" lives outside the curtains changed.

But many fortune tellers, like myself, understand that what we are doing is far more than mere entertainment. Prophecy requires bravery to speak on things other people ridicule and the confidence to listen to inner guidance when the world tells you it's vacuous. We collect our experiences and confirmations and wear them as personal awards... visible only to ourselves much like many of our predictions. The validation from the experience serves as the feedback society denies. But when you experience it for yourself there's little need for external validation. The inner light must be allowed to shine outside in order for it to be witnessed. It's an accepted part of the art.

Outside this light lies the culture who ridicules the experiences and doubting the light in fear of losing its cultural cohesion. The work of overcoming a repressive cultural ego comes with all the typical ills, requirements and practices of any ego needing rebirth. We need the shedding, the separating and the transformation of our long held ideas and new, uplifting conversations taking place in order to change, grow and expand.

Ideally, those who tell fortunes and those who research psychic phenomenon would exist on the same plane. Experimenters and experiencers growing together. As a self-proclaimed fortune teller, remote viewing is an exciting field that seems both foreign and familiar to me. I wanted to experience it for myself in order to SEE and I made SEE Psychic Trainer so we could have this experiment with ourselves to change the conversation to something I can understand.
